Driftwood Centre

The grocery store offers fresh meats, fish, produce, deli foods and more. There are even more food choices at the family restaurant and at the bakery cafe which offers fresh baked goods. Here at the Driftwood, there is a well stocked government liquor store, nails and pedicures salon, realty office, pharmacy, service station, post office, bank and an array of specialty shops. If it is a good book, fresh flowers, a gift, unique clothing, games for the kids or a frisbee for the disc golf course, you will find it here.

Hope Bay Store

This unique heritage site offers an equally intriguing collection, from a waterfront cafe to home decor, jewellery, real estate agents, hair salon, massage therapist and other specialty services. All this is literally on the water’s edge where you can stroll down the little jetty to see the fishing and pleasure boats that are in for the day.

Medicine Beach

This is another unique setting with a commanding view over Bedwell Harbour. Here you will find a unique coffee shop offering speciality coffees and teas as well as local food for breakfast, snacks and lunch, a liquor store specializing in local area wines & breweries as well as a food store. For a small fee, you can also drop off your garbage at the Medicine Beach location, a great service for visitors and locals alike.

Along Port Washington Road, you will find a grocery store specializing in healthy food choices and Italian specialties, a hardware store and jewellery & antiques.

Pender Island offers everything that you’ll need for a comfortable stay

Our shops and stores are scattered throughout the island. Whether its food and wine, a good book, unique clothes and jewellery, toys & games, home decor, flowers, a hostess gift or a souvenir to take home, you will find it all in one of the four shopping areas mentioned below.

Sprinkled all over the island, are a number road side stands that offer local produce, fresh eggs, local lamb and more. In many places you will also find an “honour box” where you just leave your money for what you take. What else would you expect on Pender – “the friendly island”.
