Filmmaking Workshops

Repeats every day until Sun Feb 17 2019.
Saturday, February 16, 2019 - 1:00pm to 4:00pm

It’s that time of year when we start gearing up for our annual Pender Island Short Film Festival (happening April 20, 2019!). To start the season off, we’re bringing in some guest mentors who are experts in their field to lead two workshops on February 16 & 17 at the Kraken Theatre from 1-4pm.

February 16 - Documentary, live performance, and reality filmmaking with Paul Donnett (VP at School Creative) and Patrick Brown (CBC, The National).

February 17 - Dramatic narrative, animation, and experimental visual filmmaking with Paul Donnett and Matisse Weyler Hubert (camera and dolly operator).

Hosted by our very own David Ohnona, these workshops are aimed at youth and adults alike and will help you take your filmmaking skills to the next level, preparing you for the High Noon Filmmaking Marathon coming in March (more details announced soon)!

Cost is $30 each or $50 for both. Register by February 7 on our website:
