Royal Canadian Legion Branch 239

The Royal Canadian Legion’s mission is to serve veterans and their dependents, promote Remembrance, and serve Canada and its communities.  The Legion is one of the largest community service organizations in Canada, serving since 1926.  We are proud to provide facilities and events to serve and bring our community together.

Meat Draws, held every Saturday at 4:00, are fun social events to attend, featuring over $300 worth of fabulous meat packages given away in two draws, a 50/50 draw, and a $50 Gift card draw for our Tru Value local grocery store.

Bingo is played on the last Saturday of the month at 1:00 from September to June.  Win cash prizes for all the games, and a chance to win the Jackpot!

All meat draw and bingo proceeds are donated to our Pender Islands Community.

Friday night dinners are served bi-weekly from November to May.  Friday night BBQ dinners are served bi-weekly from June to September.

Other community events include special dinners for holidays and Canada Day, BBQ’s at the annual Art show, Car show, Fall Fair, and our famous Labour Day weekend Pig & Lamb BBQ, Remembrance Day services, Special Persons and Christmas dinner.
